1. What Tippytale Does

Tippytale helps adults create personalized children's storybooks. You can start from a template or create from scratch, add child and family details, optionally upload photos or written appearance descriptions, review AI-assisted characters and book content, purchase digital editing credits, and order a printed hardcover when a book is ready.

The service uses automated and AI-assisted systems, human support workflows, payment providers, hosting providers, email providers, analytics and error-reporting tools, image storage, and print fulfillment partners to operate the product.

2. Who May Use Tippytale

Tippytale accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account, upload child information, purchase a book, or submit a book for printing.

If you create a story about a child, upload a child's photo, add a child's name, or share a story that includes a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission from the child's parent or legal guardian to do so.

Do not let a child under 13 create an account, submit their own personal information, upload photos, or use Tippytale without direct parent or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided information directly to Tippytale, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for activity that happens through it. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you believe your account has been used without permission.

We may limit, pause, or refuse access to the service when needed for security, misuse prevention, product capacity, operational reliability, legal compliance, or support reasons.

4. Your Content and Permissions

Your content includes information, names, photos, appearance descriptions, story ideas, prompts, feedback, dedication messages, shipping details, support messages, and other material you provide to Tippytale.

You keep the rights you have in your content. By using Tippytale, you give Tippytale a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, process, transform, display, and create outputs from your content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the service.

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed for any names, photos, likenesses, dedications, and other personal details you provide. Do not upload photos or information about a person if you do not have permission to use them in a personalized book.

5. Child Photos and Personal Details

A child photo or written appearance description may be used to create an illustrated character, cover direction, page artwork, and related book assets. A photo is optional in supported flows; you may describe appearance instead.

Photo URLs and generated image URLs are not intended to be public marketing pages, but generated assets may be accessible to people who have the exact URL or a share link. Do not upload or share anything you would not be comfortable using in a personalized family book.

Tippytale is not a child identity, age-verification, medical, educational, therapeutic, or safety service. Review all generated content before showing it to a child, sharing it, or sending it to print.

6. AI-Generated and Edited Content

Tippytale uses AI and automated systems to generate and edit story text, character images, covers, page artwork, and related book materials. AI output can be imperfect, inconsistent, delayed, unavailable, or different from what you expected.

You are responsible for reviewing the book before purchase, sharing, or printing. This includes checking child names, family roles, story text, dedications, artwork, spelling, likeness, age-appropriateness, and any sensitive details.

Generated content may not be unique to you, and we do not guarantee that AI-generated text, artwork, style, layout, or concepts are exclusive, copyrightable, error-free, or suitable for every use.

7. Your Rights to Use Finished Books

After you create or purchase a book, you may use the finished digital and printed book for personal, family, gift, and non-commercial sharing purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not resell Tippytale books, generated assets, templates, prompts, workflows, or outputs as a commercial product; use them to train or benchmark competing systems; remove proprietary notices; or imply that Tippytale endorses a person, product, or organization without permission.

8. Acceptable Use

Do not use Tippytale to create, upload, request, share, or print content that is illegal, abusive, exploitative, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, deceptive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing, or unsafe for children.

Do not attempt to bypass product limits, interfere with the service, scrape the service, reverse engineer non-public systems, use automated abuse, upload malware, or use Tippytale in a way that harms other users, children, our providers, or our infrastructure.

We may block, remove, refuse to generate, refuse to print, or report content or activity when we believe it violates these Terms, provider rules, law, or child-safety expectations.

9. Payments, Credits, and Donations

Prices are shown before checkout and are charged in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider, and your payment information is handled by that provider.

Digital purchases, editing credits, add-ons, delivery charges, and printed books may have different prices, limits, and availability. Editing or regeneration credits may expire, change, or be limited to the story or account shown at purchase.

Some purchases include a stated donation amount to a named charity, currently First Book where shown in the product. Donation programs may change, and customer purchases are not represented as tax-deductible charitable contributions unless we expressly say otherwise in writing.

10. Printed Books, Shipping, Cancellations, and Returns

Physical books are personalized products. Payment for a hardcover order creates a paid order, but the print job is not submitted immediately. You must review the book and choose to send it to print when ready.

Before a physical order is submitted to the print provider, we may be able to help with cancellation or correction. After submission, printing and shipping begin through third-party providers, and changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.

Shipping dates are estimates, not guarantees. Print color, trimming, binding, cover wrap, paper appearance, and layout may vary within normal manufacturing tolerances.

Because printed books are personalized, returns for preference changes are limited. If a printed book arrives damaged, defective, materially misprinted, or materially different from the approved print file, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos and order details so we can review a replacement, reprint, refund, or other reasonable remedy.

11. Sharing Books

Tippytale may let you generate a share link for a finished story. Anyone with that link may be able to view the shared book, including child names, generated artwork, and story details included in it.

Shared story pages are not intended to be public search landing pages, but search controls are not a privacy guarantee. Only create or distribute a share link if you have permission and are comfortable with the book being viewed by link recipients.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using Tippytale, you also agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, pause, discontinue, or limit features, templates, prices, providers, delivery regions, generation models, print options, and account access at any time. We will try to avoid disrupting paid orders, but some changes may be necessary for reliability, security, legal, provider, or operational reasons.

14. Disclaimers

Tippytale is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free output.

We do not promise that every generated book will meet your expectations, that every likeness will be accurate, that every print provider or delivery carrier will perform without delay, or that the service will always be available.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tippytale will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or replacement services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tippytale's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Tippytale for the product or service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose.

16. Termination

You may stop using Tippytale at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for children or other users, harmed the service, failed to pay, or used the product unlawfully.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including content permissions, payment obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability, and acceptable-use restrictions, will survive.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product, providers, law, or business changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new last-updated date. Continued use of Tippytale after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
